Role Overview

As a Field Service Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic equipment and network infrastructure in correctional facilities across North Carolina. You will have real independence, variety every day, and meaningful work that genuinely matters.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining inmate commissary and kiosk systems, diagnosing and repairing computer hardware and peripherals, and installing and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling and network devices.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with low-voltage wiring, including terminating, testing, and troubleshooting Ethernet cabling
  • Comfort with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • A working knowledge of computer hardware diagnostics and repair
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals — switches, routers, wireless networks, and IP-based devices
  • Confidence using hand tools, power tools, cable testers, and other diagnostic equipment
  • A sharp eye for troubleshooting and a genuine drive to solve problems
  • Strong self-direction and organizational skills — you're comfortable running your own day in the field
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across North Carolina
