Role OverviewThe Field Service Technician will service, troubleshoot, and repair all makes of material handling equipment at customer locations. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. The technician will work independently while being part of a collaborative team environment.
What You Will Do
The duties and responsibilities of the Field Service Technician include repairing all types of equipment, updating training and skills, training other employees, maintaining a profitable billing level, and following all Service Department procedures. The technician will also communicate with assigned Field Supervisor, complete all paperwork transactions, and represent the entire company at all times.

- Ability to deal with customers on a face-to-face basis

- Must pass all available certificates appropriate to the position
- Must have working knowledge of basic D.C. electricity, basic A.C. electricity, internal combustion, and diesel engines
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Raymond Level 1 Certified or working towards that goal, if applicable
- Must possess a valid driver's license with no more than the allowable level of points on record, if applicable
- Maintain personally owned tools according to approved minimum tool list
- Maintain additional tools as required by duties and certification level
- Must be able to take direction
- Must be a team player, i.e., to work with peers
- Must have working knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Must have mechanical abilities
