Role Overview

As a Field Technician at Carolina Handling, you will be responsible for servicing lift trucks and vehicles, troubleshooting electro-mechanical problems, and performing installations and repairs. You will interact directly with customers to understand their concerns and provide solutions. You will also maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively. The role requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and electronic systems, as well as the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include troubleshooting and diagnosing problems, performing installations and repairs, interacting with customers, and maintaining a professional demeanor. You will also be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance tasks, keeping track of parts and supplies inventory, and ensuring the service van is properly maintained and stocked.

Requirements

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-3 years of equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related field such as maintenance, repair, or installation is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and electronic systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
