Job Description
The Payroll Specialist delivers accurate, on-time bi-weekly payroll by auditing time and pay data, processing employee changes, and resolving pay issues with a high level of service and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of in-house payroll experience and a payroll certification OR three (3) years of in-house payroll experience.
  • Six (6) months supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of payroll garnishments, 401K benefits and loan processing, and benefits distribution.
  • Experience and knowledge of payroll software, processing, payroll laws, and best practices.
  • High School Diploma or GED or Ten (10) years of experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that promote exceptional customer service.
  • Must be proficient at multitasking in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Computer literate with strong spreadsheet and report generating skills required.
  • Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, ability to deescalate difficult situations and generate written correspondence that effectively relays information.
  • Must be confident in review and analysis of payroll information, including the review of work done by others.
