Job Description
The Payroll Specialist delivers accurate, on-time bi-weekly payroll by auditing time and pay data, processing employee changes, and resolving pay issues with a high level of service and confidentiality.
Requirements
Two (2) years of in-house payroll experience and a payroll certification OR three (3) years of in-house payroll experience.
Six (6) months supervisory experience.
Knowledge of payroll garnishments, 401K benefits and loan processing, and benefits distribution.
Experience and knowledge of payroll software, processing, payroll laws, and best practices.
High School Diploma or GED or Ten (10) years of experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills that promote exceptional customer service.
Must be proficient at multitasking in a fast-paced office environment.
Computer literate with strong spreadsheet and report generating skills required.
Effective communication skills - verbally provide instruction, respond to questions, ability to deescalate difficult situations and generate written correspondence that effectively relays information.
Must be confident in review and analysis of payroll information, including the review of work done by others.
