Job Description
The Ohio Department of Insurance is seeking a Financial Accounting Analyst/Auditor to perform in-house and on-site financial examinations of insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, internal auditing, insurance, economics, or finance and be able to analyze complex financial reports and data.

Requirements

  • Performs in-house &/or on-site financial examinations &/or analysis of domestic &/or foreign insurance companies
  • Ensures compliance with state insurance laws & rules
  • Follows computer &/or manual examination procedures
  • Assists with interviewing company personnel regarding accounting methodology, risks to the insurer, internal controls & other matters
  • Writes preliminary reports of findings on assigned areas & assists in preparation of final report of examinations
