Role OverviewThis role conducts technical research and prepares/analyzes financial, tax, and regulatory information for senior management, regulators, and auditors. The position ensures data quality and adherence to internal controls within the Finance department at M&T Bank.
What You Will Do
Prepare complex financial schedules, reconciliations, and reports including bank regulatory reports, SEC reporting, and internal management reports. Perform variance analysis, data interpretation, and problem resolution while ensuring timely submission of reports and leading projects of moderate scope.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience OR Associate's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, auditing, operations or financial institutions
- Good knowledge of finance and accounting concepts, business operations and/or bank products and basic knowledge of banking industry
- High level of PC competencies (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
- Detail oriented, with strong problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
