Role OverviewPerforms highly responsible and complex professional work in the administration and coordination of the Countywide budgeting and financial reporting processes. Works independently and exercises significant professional judgment in providing financial analysis and monitoring to ensure compliance with given fiscal constraints and policy objectives.
What You Will Do
Manages assigned areas of Augusta's overall financial operations, providing ongoing monitoring and regular reporting. Proactively provides recommendations to Chief Finance Officer, Deputy CFO, Budget Manager, and other managers for proposed solutions and adjustments.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Provides consultative guidance and training for customer departments, other analysts, and interns as needed. Performs other duties of a similar nature.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related occupational field
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field strongly preferred
- Five (5) years in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or Business Management
- Governmental accounting/budget experience strongly preferred
- Certification: CPA, CGFM, CFPO preferred
