Job Description
The Ohio Office of Budget and Management is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide front-desk reception, customer assistance, and operational support to state agencies, vendors, and the public. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable balancing administrative and financial responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Serve as OBM's front-desk receptionist by greeting visitors, answering phones, coordinating mail and deliveries, and providing timely assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Review and process purchasing requests by verifying coding and justifications, ensuring compliance with state/federal requirements, entering and tracking requests in OhioBuys, and issuing purchase orders.
  • Manage invoice review and payment workflows, including validating coding and documentation, confirming receipt of goods/services, coordinating with Financial Support Services, and responding to vendor or auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain financial records and data—entering deposits in OAKS, preparing fiscal reports, managing payment card system data, and assisting with asset tracking and surplus processes.
  • Perform general administrative and accounting support functions such as maintaining files, processing returned warrants, submitting maintenance requests, and assisting staff with procurement guidance.
