Job Description
The Ohio Office of Budget and Management (OBM) is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide front-desk reception, customer assistance, and operational support to state agencies, vendors, and the public. The role also performs essential fiscal, purchasing, and accounting functions to ensure accurate processing, compliant procurement, and strong customer service.

Requirements

  • Serve as OBM's front-desk receptionist by greeting visitors, answering phones, coordinating mail and deliveries, and providing timely assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Review and process purchasing requests by verifying coding and justifications, ensuring compliance with state/federal requirements, entering and tracking requests in OhioBuys, and issuing purchase orders.
  • Manage invoice review and payment workflows, including validating coding and documentation, confirming receipt of goods/services, coordinating with Financial Support Services, and responding to vendor or auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain financial records and data—entering deposits in OAKS, preparing fiscal reports, managing payment card system data, and assisting with asset tracking and surplus processes.
  • Perform general administrative and accounting support functions such as maintaining files, processing returned warrants, submitting maintenance requests, and assisting staff with procurement guidance.
