Role OverviewBaptist Health is looking for a Financial Clearance Coordinator to join our team in Louisville, KY. This position is responsible for completing financial clearance prior to point of service. Effective Financial Clearance ensures a seamless patient financial experience.
What You Will Do
Obtain and validate orders, insurance verification, obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies, compliance, pre-service estimates, payment plans, Medicaid referrals and charity pre-screening. This position requires extensive review of diagnosis and procedure codes. This position serves as a liaison between the practices, insurance companies and the hospital department providing service.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This position is imperative to avoid authorization or technical denials based on poor or incomplete information. Excellent customer service skills are required. Basic coding knowledge and proficiency in medical terminology is recommended. One year previous insurance experience and one year customer service experience are required.
