Role OverviewThe Patient Financial Counselor serves as the primary point of contact for patients regarding financial matters, including insurance verification, payment arrangements, financial assistance programs, and billing inquiries. This role ensures patients understand their financial responsibilities while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Do
Conduct comprehensive insurance review and discovery for all patients, process unverified reports, and coordinate with Patient Access Manager. Assist patients with Medicaid enrollment and insurance enrollments, process completed financial assistance applications, and maintain spreadsheet trackers for all applications.

Requirements
- Ability to Communicate Effectively
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of customer service, business office experience, and credit and collection experience
- Minimum of two years computer experience, which includes Microsoft Word, Excel, or similar programs
- Demonstrated ability to be accurate and attentive to detail
