Role OverviewThe Finisher I is responsible for preparing vehicles for painting by grinding welds, sanding, buffing, and applying primer coats. They work in a team environment to meet production goals and maintain a clean and safe work area. The role requires attention to detail, ability to work with little to no supervision, and a positive attitude.
What You Will Do
The Finisher I will grind welds and other areas of the vehicle, maintain and clean paint equipment, sand the vehicle, perform buffing, use body filler, apply primer coats, and complete taping and masking as needed. They will also self-check their work and inspect prior processes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a high school diploma or equivalent experience, vocational training in body/work vehicle repair, and experience with buffing, swirl-mark removing, and wet sanding. They should be able to work in a team environment, maintain attendance, and retain and apply instructions.
