Job Description
The Fire Alarm Inspection Technician 2 is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, and repairing fire alarm systems and related life safety equipment. The role involves working independently and as part of a team to ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations. The technician will interact directly with customers, ensuring timely service, clear communication, and high-quality workmanship.

Requirements

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform testing and inspections on fire alarm and fire suppression systems in accordance with NFPA standards
  • Work directly with customers to identify and resolve system issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Complete and submit required reports and documentation to ensure compliance with NFPA reporting and recordkeeping requirements
  • Participate in a 24-hour emergency on-call schedule
  • Maintain accurate time sheets for labor tracking and job costing
  • Demonstrate reliability by being punctual and consistently delivering a full day's work
  • Work directly with customers to identify and resolve system issues
