Job Description
This entry-level wildland firefighting position involves suppressing wildland fires, performing fuels management duties, and developing knowledge of fire and fuels management techniques. The position is located on the Spokane Indian Reservation and requires a valid Washington State driver's license and Tribal insurance. Applicants must be enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe, and safety-sensitive backgrounds are a requirement.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Washington State driver's license and be Tribally Insurable.
  • Must maintain qualifications for FFT2.
  • Indian Preference Applies – Indian Preference grants preference to any enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe.
  • Safety Sensitive Background – Requires a higher standard of performance and behavior.
