Role OverviewThe Fire Protection Engineer will provide Design Technical Support services for NAVFAC Northwest, supporting the design and review of active and passive fire protection systems for a wide range of facility types. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection systems and the ability to work with design teams and government stakeholders. The Fire Protection Engineer will ensure compliance with DoD UFC, NFPA standards, and applicable codes.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include reviewing and supporting fire protection engineering for new and existing facilities, evaluating water-based and chemical-based fire suppression systems, and preparing technical reports and supporting status reporting requirements.

Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must be able to pass a T1 security background check
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related accredited engineering field
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant design or design management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of fire protection systems for facilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD/Revit experience preferred
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
