Role Overview

As a Fire Protection Shop (1st Shift) at Ahern, you will be responsible for material handling, machine operation, and threading piping for fire protection systems. You will work on exciting, hands-on projects that make a real difference, and contribute to a team dedicated to your success.

What You Will Do

Your primary duties will include material handling, machine operation, and threading piping for fire protection systems. Additional duties may include providing overall support by banding and bundling pipe, working with a crane and cart system to move pipe throughout the shop, shop sweeping, and equipment cleanup.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age
  • Aptitude test
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, and crouch throughout an 8-hour shift
