Fire Suppression Technician

As a Fire Suppression Service Technician at Encore Fire Protection, you will play a direct role in keeping people and property safe by inspecting, testing, servicing, and maintaining fire suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers. This is a field-based role with hands-on work and a lot of day-to-day variety. You will have access to training, mentorship, and the tools you need to grow.

What You Will Do

Inspect, test, and recharge kitchen and industrial fire suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers. Assemble, install, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems in commercial and industrial settings. Make sure all work meets applicable NFPA and local code requirements.

Why It Might Be a Fit

You have one to three years of experience in fire suppression system service, are mechanically inclined, and have a strong communication and documentation skills. You have knowledge of NFPA 17A, 96, and other relevant fire protection codes, and are willing to travel within your assigned territory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required, with technical or industry related experience preferred
• Mechanically inclined, with interest in hands on technical work in the life safety or construction space
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders or in tight or confined spaces as part of daily work
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
