Role OverviewThe First Class Roofer inspects, clears, and repairs roofs, siding, gutters, and associated areas. They perform carpentry, blacksmithing, and masonry tasks, and operate roofer kettles and handle hot roofing materials. They also lay out and organize work, including quantity estimates and bills of materials.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include clearing roofs of debris, performing general housekeeping and maintenance work, repairing or replacing strainers, inspecting roofs for excessive wear, and performing carpentry and masonry work related to roof installation or repair.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and a CDL license. They must also be able to pass the 1st Class Roofer qualifications test and performance test. The candidate should be able to work in a stooped, bent, or cramped position and from ladders, scaffolding, etc.
