Job Description
The First Grade Temporary Teacher is responsible for instructional planning, implementing teaching methods, and evaluating pupils' progress. The teacher will establish positive learning expectations, maintain accurate records, and promote anti-vandalism programs. The teacher will also participate in programs to improve student attendance and communicate with parents or guardians.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of all student teaching requirements
  • Properly endorsed teaching license from the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements
  • Knowledge of contemporary principles and practices of teaching
  • Knowledge of classroom and behavior management techniques
