Role Overview

The Fiscal Auditor will be responsible for monitoring the Division's OTPS expenditures, auditing critical budget exercises, and preparing written justifications. The role requires excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines. The Fiscal Auditor will work closely with other DOT units to support efficient and appropriate use of non-City grant funds.

The Fiscal Auditor will assist in auditing critical budget exercises, audit payment packages, and prepare written justifications. The role also involves monitoring and controlling expenditures, tracking contracts and payments, and implementing tools and processes for budget tracking and analysis.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in accounting
  • A valid New York State Certified Public Accountant license
  • At least one year of experience as an Accountant - Assignment Level I or at least two years of satisfactory full-time professional accounting or auditing experience
