Role Overview

The Fiscal Auditor will coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision, assisting the Staff Manager in monitoring the Division's OTPS expenditures and auditing critical budget exercises. The role involves working with various internal units to support efficient and appropriate use of non-City grant funds.

What You Will Do

The Fiscal Auditor will be responsible for monitoring expenditures, auditing payment packages, preparing written justifications, and researching FMS, Passport, and other systems. The role also involves implementing and developing tools and processes for budget tracking and analysis.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • 24 semester credits in accounting, including one course each in advanced accounting and auditing
  • A valid New York State Certified Public Accountant license
  • At least one year of experience as an Accountant - Assignment Level I or at least two years of satisfactory full-time professional accounting or auditing experience
