Job Description
The Fisheries Technician 3 will assist in data collection for fish studies, including examining movements, passage at structures, habitat use, and population demographics of native fishes on the lower Yellowstone River and throughout Montana. The job involves working outdoors in inclement weather, lifting and carrying 75 lbs, and working from a boat. The incumbent will work under the supervision of a regional fisheries staff and may be required to travel overnight for up to a week.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience or training in resource management, biology, laboratory, or closely related work
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs
  • Previous boating experience preferred
