Role OverviewThe shop mechanic ensures the safe and efficient operation of a variety of small and large equipment and vehicles. The mechanic helps maintain both gas and diesel equipment by completing repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
What You Will Do
Perform routine fleet maintenance, including changing oil, checking batteries, lubricating equipment and parts, and adjusting and aligning wheels. Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
Why It Might Be a Fit
An ideal candidate would also have some experience with welding and fabricating. Must have valid driver's license and ability to maintain insurable driving record at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work safely at all times in all conditions
- Ability to be on call for all shifts during winter snow season
- Ability to carry 50 lbs. and occasionally loads up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to maintain shop organization at all times
