Role OverviewThe Fleet Mechanic will complete preventative maintenance activities and maintain fleet records regarding vehicles. This position will uphold AWP’s core values and mission of protecting our customers’ people, business and time. The Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for repairs and routine maintenance within the assigned facility or remote locations when needed.
What You Will Do
Perform preventative maintenance activities, keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles, complete preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, brake systems and electrical devices, maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints, conduct inspections, repair engine failures, repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replace parts and components.

High School Diploma or GED completion required, 2-3 years’ prior professional full service mechanical experience preferred, excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills, intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems, must be able to follow safe workplace practices, valid Driver’s License void of suspension or revocation and is insurable per company policies, must be able to provide own tool box, including full set of tools.
