Role Overview

The Fleet Mechanic will perform a variety of diagnoses, repairs, and preventative maintenance on company trucks and other equipment. The role involves working with a team to keep the fleet in perfect running condition, prioritizing vehicle repair, and maintaining shop tools and equipment.

What You Will Do

Diagnostic and repair of all vehicle systems, knowledge and repair of OEM and auxiliary A/C systems, prioritizing vehicle repair, and maintaining shop tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Certification from a recognized automotive technical school preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining buses or similar heavy-duty vehicles
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in buses
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, inspections, and component replacements.
  • Experience working with diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Experience adhering to safety regulations and procedures in a shop environment.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Experience working with computerized diagnostic equipment and tools
