Role OverviewPlanned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and caring Medical Assistant (Float) to work full-time at our Burbank Health Center and travel to other locations as needed. This is an intermediate level position responsible for all supporting functions in the delivery of reproductive health care service and performs all Medical Assistant front and back office functions.
What You Will Do
Assist patients by providing testing, screening, and education required for the provision of medical reproductive health care. Provide non-judgmental, empathetic education and communication on options for patients.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and customer service skills, with at least one to two years of experience in a clinical setting. Knowledge of surgical services and reproductive health care experience are desirable.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- At least one to two years of experience in a clinical setting
- Venipuncture and Injection training
- Reproductive health care experience desirable
- Knowledge of surgical services preferred
