Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fluid Power Technician to assemble, repair, test, and maintain hydraulic HPUs, pumps, and related components. This role involves diagnosing issues, rebuilding components, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, strong in mechanical aptitude, and committed to quality and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred.
  • 2–5 years of hydraulic systems, hose assembly, or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with air-operated (Haskel, Maximator, Hydratron) and electric-operated (Oilgear, Gardner Denver, Dynex) HPUs/pumps.
  • Knowledge of MP & HP Cone and Thread, JIC, DIN, SAE, Twin Ferrule Compression fittings.
  • Experience with hydrostatic and pressure decay testing.
  • Proficiency with calipers, tape measures, gauges, and hand/power tools.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with technical manuals and schematics.
