Role OverviewThe Flying Dutchman Race Team Performance Mechanic supports drag racing while performing race car maintenance, classic car restoration, performance engine assembly, diesel equipment maintenance, and general shop operations. This role requires flexibility, strong mechanical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel when race schedules require.
What You Will Do
Prepare, maintain, inspect, and repair drag race vehicles, provide trackside support during race events, perform maintenance, repairs, and restoration work on classic and performance vehicles, and assist with performance engine assembly and related mechanical work.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automotive repair and diagnostics
- Knowledge of high performance vehicles and drag racing preferred
- Experience with classic car maintenance or restoration
- Diesel repair experience preferred
- Performance engine assembly experience preferred
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
