Role OverviewFoodstream LEARN provides hands-on food education to NYC students. We are looking for reliable Program Assistants to support school-based cooking and food education programs.
What You Will Do
Assist with program setup, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Monitor supplies, support sanitation, and assist with attendance and documentation.

Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people
- Interest in food, cooking, nutrition, gardening, or education
- Warm, patient, and encouraging communication
- Strong reliability, organization, and attention to detail
- Comfort working in active, fast-moving school environments
- Ability to lift, carry, and organize program materials safely
- Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
- Experience supporting multilingual learners, neurodivergent students, or students receiving special-education services
