Job Description
A Food Service Clerk is responsible for maintaining customer service, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, loss prevention, and working in all three facets of food service; Deli, Juice Bar, and Kitchen.

Requirements

  • Desire and willingness to work in all three facets of Food Service; Deli, Juice Bar, and Kitchen.
  • Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
  • Communicate openly, respectfully, and honestly with all others in the organization.
  • Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on-time and appropriately uniformed.
  • Communicate customer requests to management.
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-40 pounds.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
  • Knows proper knife skills
  • Understands the importance of tasting and seasoning food properly.
  • Understands menu and techniques required to execute the menu properly.
  • Ability to follow basic recipes.
  • Keeps a clean and organized work station before, during, and post shift.
  • Able to identify product quality and freshness.
  • Be able to understand and label dating protocols as per State Guidelines
  • Be able to understand the basics of TILT concerning food service rotation.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
