Role OverviewPerform skilled work in the preparation and service of nutritionally adequate meals, meeting production deadlines, and assuming responsibility for the quality of food products. The Food & Nutrition Services General Worker (Assistant I) will carry out essential performance responsibilities, including following daily work schedules, participating in training initiatives, and promoting exceptional customer service.
What You Will Do
Follow daily work schedules, participate in training initiatives, and perform kitchen duties as assigned, including pre-preparation, food production, service, backup, clean-up, and check-in orders. Assist in ensuring that meal service is safe and that good quality food is served according to approved meal pattern requirements.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have prior food service or cashier work experience, ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English, and computer skills as required for the position. A standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program is preferred.
