Role OverviewThe Montana Veterans' Home is a certified facility that has been providing services to Veterans since 1896. Admission is for honorably discharged veterans eligible for skilled/intermediate nursing care or domiciliary self-care living. This position is an evening Food Service Supervisor; responsibilities include: 1) Using predetermined menu plans, orders and purchases foods to be prepared for residents; 2) Trains staff and participates in food preparation and service. Instructs staff on cooking, temperature of food, food delivery, and tray appearance; and 3) Ensures sanitation and safety procedures are followed by instructing staff on proper techniques and procedures. This position supervises 8 FTE.
What You Will Do
The Food Service Supervisor Assistant will use predetermined menu plans to order and purchase food for residents, train staff, and participate in food preparation and service. They will instruct staff on cooking, temperature of food, food delivery, and tray appearance, and ensure sanitation and safety procedures are followed.

Requirements
- Two-year degree in food service management, nutrition, or a related field
- Two years of job-related experience leading and directing people in the food service industry
