Job Description
The Food Service Worker - Porter performs various food service functions, including preparing and assembling food items, setting up meal carts, and delivering patient meal trays. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots and pans, workstations, and other equipment. The worker will also be responsible for coordinating the delivery of patient meals and sanitation tasks, and will be cross-trained to support the Cafeteria.

Requirements

  • Food handling experience
  • Ability to wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
  • Ability to deliver and pick up patient trays
  • Ability to set up and clean catering events
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen and work area
  • Ability to adhere to infection control and sanitation procedures
  • Basic customer service skills
