Role OverviewThe incumbent will undergo on-the-job training and education to become a fully competent Forensic Scientist. They will apply basic principles, practices, and techniques to conduct chemical and biological laboratory tests, analyze evidence, and provide testimony in court. The incumbent will work in a team setting, follow detailed instructions, and maintain accurate records.
What You Will Do
The incumbent will conduct chemical and biological laboratory tests, analyze evidence, and prepare reports on laboratory tests. They will also provide testimony in court, provide technical advice and assistance to police and legal personnel, and maintain the chain of custody for evidence.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The incumbent will be a good fit if they have knowledge of general laboratory techniques, calibration and adjustment techniques, and properties and characteristics of chemicals.
