Job Description
The Forensic Scientist II - DNA Lab is located in the Laboratory and Support Services Section of the Investigations Division of the Police Department within the City of Oklahoma City. The primary purpose of this classification is to perform the examination, analysis, and collection of Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) evidence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in biology, chemistry, or a forensic science related field
  • Completed course work in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and statistics population genetics
  • Five (5) years' of authorized casework experience as a DNA forensic scientist with an accredited forensic science laboratory
