Role Overview

The Service Forester provides professional oversight and expertise in the forest management program to multiple counties in the assigned District. The role requires collecting and analyzing forest data, writing management plans, and interacting with consulting foresters and other professionals for forestry-related technical assistance.

Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing forest data, writing management plans, conducting environmental compliance inspections, and responding to emergencies such as wildland fires and natural disasters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in forestry from a Society of American Foresters (SAF) accredited institution

  • equivalent combination of education and experience
