Job Description
The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation is seeking a Forestry Supervisor to oversee program administration and advanced professional forestry functions. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Forest Management or a related field and 4 years of experience in forest management, including one year of supervisory experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Forest Management or a related resource management field
  • 4 years of progressively responsible job-related professional experience in forest management
  • 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Experience in managing projects, developing and evaluating projects, preparing reports, and making recommendations
  • Knowledge of effective supervisory practices and conflict resolution methods
  • Knowledge of forest management principles and practices, equipment and techniques used in forest management projects, and forest practices and hazard reduction laws
