Role OverviewThis position is responsible for recruiting, assessing, and training qualified foster parents for the Foster Care Program. Traveling to the Richmond office as needed. The role involves developing and implementing a foster parent recruitment and retention plan, identifying training needs, and providing ongoing support to families.
What You Will Do
Main responsibilities include conducting home studies, certifying foster families, making presentations to community groups, and coordinating program participation in cultural festivals. The role also involves participating in staff training and meetings, and representing the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, with a doctorate or master's degree in social work or a related field. Experience in providing casework services to children and families is highly preferred. The candidate should also have strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills, as well as a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
