Role Overview

Join our Agile Scrum team as a Java Developer, providing software development and maintenance for the delivery of releasable software in short sprint cycles. Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems.

What You Will Do

Design and implement custom software and database application capabilities, actively participate in release and sprint planning, and provide improvements to the product(s) being supported.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are looking for a candidate with at least seven years of related technical experience, proficiency in Java 8 or higher, and expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, testing frameworks, and Angular framework.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline
  • At least seven (7) years related technical experience
  • Proficiency in Java 8 or higher
  • Expert experience in Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and other modules
  • Strong knowledge of designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito
  • In-depth knowledge of the Angular framework
  • Object oriented design and development (OODD) expertise
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)
  • Experience using SQL or PL/SQL to access Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server databases
  • Experience with data base design
  • Ability to apply estimation techniques to software development efforts
  • Working knowledge of and ability to assist others in the use of software engineering tools to support process improvement
  • Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle
