Role OverviewThe Head Cashier provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs. They seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
What You Will Do
The Head Cashier uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines. They provide proper monetary change to CSA Front End associates for register activities, remove security tags, verify product information, and bag merchandise for customers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires the ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as may be required by law. The Head Cashier must also be able to identify and sell products based on customer needs, including credit cards, installations, add-on sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
