Job Description
The Assistant Store Manager will assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, and developing operational action plans. The role requires a strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate direct reports.
Requirements
Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports
Understand and communicate company strategy and core values
Monitor competitive environment and inform direct leader of necessary adjustments
Provide product feedback and recommendations
Participate in interviewing process for store personnel
Communicate information to direct leader and team
Ensure store personnel adhere to inventory procedures and cash control policies
Resolve operational customer concerns
Maintain store cleanliness standards and proper signage
Assist direct leader with maintaining proper stock levels and merchandising product
Ensure quality and freshness of products and accuracy of product signage
Achieve store payroll and total loss budget, inventory counts, and train new employees
Supervise day-to-day operations of team and escalate issues as necessary
Ensure direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain security and confidentiality of documents and data
