Job Description
As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, and developing operational action plans to improve operating results.
Requirements
Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports
Identifies training and development opportunities to assist direct reports in achieving enhanced performance
Understands and communicates company strategy and core values to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees
Monitors competitive environment and informs direct leader regarding adjustments necessary to maintain company's competitive position
Provides product feedback and recommendations regarding new items to carry or those that should be discontinued
Participates in interviewing process for store personnel
Communicates information and ensures store personnel adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
Ensures an appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns in direct leader's absence
Identifies and rectifies hazards and maintains store cleanliness standards
Assists direct leader with achieving store payroll and total loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees
Supervises day-to-day operations of team and escalates issues when necessary
Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
Complies with all established company policies and procedures
