Job Description
As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, and developing operational action plans to improve operating results.

Requirements

  • Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
  • Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports
  • Identifies training and development opportunities to assist direct reports in achieving enhanced performance
  • Understands and communicates company strategy and core values to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees
  • Monitors competitive environment and informs direct leader regarding adjustments necessary to maintain company's competitive position
  • Provides product feedback and recommendations regarding new items to carry or those that should be discontinued
  • Participates in interviewing process for store personnel
  • Communicates information and ensures store personnel adhere to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
  • Ensures an appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns in direct leader's absence
  • Identifies and rectifies hazards and maintains store cleanliness standards
  • Assists direct leader with achieving store payroll and total loss budget, inventory counts, and training new employees
  • Supervises day-to-day operations of team and escalates issues when necessary
  • Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
  • Complies with all established company policies and procedures
