Job Description
As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans.
Requirements
Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their direct reports
Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports
Monitors the competitive environment and informs the direct leader regarding adjustments necessary to maintain the company's competitive position
Provides product feedback to the direct leader
Participates in the interviewing process for store personnel
Communicates information to store personnel
Ensures store personnel adhere to inventory procedures and cash control policies
Ensures an appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns
Identifies and rectifies hazards and maintains store equipment
Maintains store cleanliness standards and proper store signage
Assists the direct leader with maintaining proper stock levels
Merchandises product neatly to maximize sales
Ensures the quality and freshness of products for sale and accuracy of product signage
Assists their direct leader with achieving the store payroll and total loss budget
Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team
Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner
Complies with all established company policies and procedures
