Role OverviewThe CDL Driver is responsible for transporting Collegiate students, faculty and staff using school-owned vehicles. This is a benefited position.
What You Will Do
Complete transportation vehicle pre/post trip inspections, report vehicle defects, ensure vehicles are cleaned and maintained, perform driving-related duties, and adhere to CDL related requirements and regulations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Successful candidates will possess 3+ years of passenger driving experience, a valid Virginia's CDL Class A or B with a passenger (P) endorsement, and excellent reading, writing, and oral comprehension skills.
Requirements
- 21 years of age
- 3+ years of passenger driving experience
- Valid Virginia's CDL Class A or B with a passenger (P) endorsement
- Ability to check vehicles for proper functioning and suggest/take corrective actions
- Ability to do minor maintenance of vehicles
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral comprehension skills
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
- Ability to work with hand tools and pneumatic tools
- Ability to record trip and vehicle information, and maintain accurate records
- Ability to operate any vehicle safely in all weather conditions
- Proven cross cultural competency skills
- Ability to successfully pass a physical exam as required by The Department of Transportation
