Full-Time Outdoor Adventure Guide

The Outdoor Adventure Guide must have an interest in and knowledge about the natural world, including the Texas Hill Country, or a curiosity to learn about our natural habitat. This person must have strong interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills, strong group management skills, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

What You Will Do

Serve as leader of guest facing programs for leisure guests and social and corporate groups with guests of varying abilities and deliver a quality experience for all. Facilitate and problem-solve skills, detail oriented, creative, and flexible.

Must be able to exercise mature control over group programs and influence groups and individuals to accomplish particular objectives without interfering unnecessarily. Must be sensitive to the personalities, moods, and abilities of individuals and groups and be able to function in a supportive role while guiding them to reach their full potentials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in facilitation and/or guiding outdoor adventure programs
• 1 – 2+ years guiding experience hiking
• First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date
• ACCT Facilitator Level I or II preferred or willingness to complete provided training
• Wilderness First Aid and Wilderness First Responder Preferred or willingness to complete provided training
• Lifeguard certification preferred or willingness to complete provided lifeguard training and pass lifeguard test required for role
• Trained or willing to be trained at facilitating stand up paddleboard and kayaking
• Knowledge of Miraval ethos is a plus
