Role OverviewWe're hiring a Paraprofessional to assist a Teacher in planning and implementing classroom instruction for a student with specific educational needs. The Paraprofessional will provide encouragement and support to the student to contribute to the best possible educational experience.
What You Will Do
Assist the Teacher in planning curriculum, assessing student abilities, developing and implementing lesson plans, maintaining a classroom environment, and tracking student behavior. Provide ongoing assistance to the Teacher in managing individual student behavior and reporting safety hazards.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a strong preference for working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and a minimum of three years of direct support experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of Three (3) years of direct support experience
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
