Role OverviewInstalls, maintains, and repairs natural gas distribution system infrastructure for the Gas Division of the Department of Public Utilities. Works under close supervision to learn how to monitor and analyze operating conditions and complete job functions to maintain compliance with environmental and safety rules and regulations.
What You Will Do
Installs, maintains, and repairs natural gas service lines and mains, receives and completes work orders, and performs related activities. Utilizes equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies, and adheres to established safety procedures.

Must reside within a 30-minute radius of Orangeburg, SC, and possess a valid South Carolina driver's license. Must maintain certification under the Department of Public Utilities' Operator Qualification Program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years of heavy equipment experience
- Valid South Carolina driver's license
- Training and certifications as deemed necessary or required by regulation
