Job Description
Cleveland Gear Company is seeking a Gear Design Engineer with a mechanical engineering degree and 4+ years of experience in gear design, geometric tolerance, gearbox rebuilds, and bearing life calculation. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly motivated, and can utilize CAD software.

Requirements

  • Design custom gearing and enclosed gear units.
  • Perform dimensional layouts.
  • Familiarity with hob tool design.
  • Perform gear geometry and gear rating calculation.
  • Perform bearing life calculation.
  • Utilize AutoCad and ProE software.
  • Prepare drawings and BOM’s for shop.
  • Reverse engineer gearboxes for rebuild
  • Interface with customers and sales staff on design of products.
