Job Description
RNWBL is hiring a Gearbox Technician II to support the repair, disassembly, inspection, and rebuild of industrial gearboxes and drivetrain components in a fast-paced shop environment. The role is ideal for mechanically skilled technicians with experience in the wind industry, industrial maintenance, heavy mechanical repair, rotating equipment, or drivetrain systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Trade school certification or technical degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in the wind industry, industrial maintenance, gearbox repair, drivetrain systems, rotating equipment, or heavy mechanical repair preferred
  • Wind turbine component experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with gearboxes, mainshafts, bearings, generators, or drivetrain components preferred
  • Overhead crane experience required
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Experience using heating/cutting torches preferred
  • Familiarity with Hytorc equipment is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to work independently in a hands-on industrial environment
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
