Role OverviewThe General Accounting Director - North America will lead accounting operations across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, ensuring compliance with policies, regulatory standards, and government cost principles. The role reports into the Onshore Reporting & Accounting Director and has 6 direct reports.
What You Will Do
The General Accounting Director - North America will align and implement best-in-class accounting policies, processes, and internal controls, review and sign off on North American financial results, and oversee monthly close, general ledger activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and overhead allocations.

Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Extensive accounting experience, including leadership of multi-functional teams
- Excellent understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, FAR, and CAS
- Results-oriented, highly organized, and proactive in managing change and driving efficiency
- A proven track record in ERP system implementations and process transformation (Oracle Cloud preferred)
- Previous experience working in a matrixed global environment
- Ability to safeguard accounting principles & standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
